London planning drawings, council by council
Planning drawings for a London home go to the council that covers the property, and each of the capital's 33 councils decides for itself. DrawingsDirect draws householder planning applications for every one of them at a fixed fee starting from £745. Pick your area below for the local picture.

Why the council matters to the drawings
The national rules are the same everywhere in England: plans must be drawn to an identified scale and must show north, and a location plan is the minimum. On top of that, each council keeps a local list of extra information it can ask for where it is reasonable to do so. A drawing set that suits one borough may need an extra sheet in another.
Outcomes differ too. In the four quarters to 2026 Q2 the 33 London councils made 23,967 householder decisions and granted 86% of them. Counting every kind of application they decided 52,543. Those are our analysis of the government's planning application statistics, and they describe the past, not your application.
Borough pages with their own figures
Where we have gathered a borough's own record, the page sets it out next to the drawings: decisions, grant rate, appeals and conservation-area entries on the national register. Current examples are Harrow, Newham, Barking and Dagenham and Bexley.
For a neighbourhood inside a borough, the page for De Beauvoir Town shows how a conservation-area question is handled: check the council's own map first.

What the drawings cost
Our fixed fee for householder planning drawings starts from £745 and covers the survey, the drawings, the design statement and the submission. Larger or more complex houses are quoted to suit. The council's own application fee is separate and set nationally. See the pricing page for the rest of the list.
If you are not sure planning is the right route
Drawings and permission are two halves of the same job. The planning permission by council index looks at each borough from the application side, and the service page on planning drawings in London describes the set itself.
The time limit is the same wherever you live: 8 weeks for an application that is not major development, counted from the day after the council receives it. Statutory guidance on what a valid application needs is on GOV.UK.
