Enfield validation checklist and building regulations drawings
A validation checklist is the list of documents Enfield needs before it registers a planning application, and it is separate from building regulations drawings. Two submissions, two checklists
Planning validation asks whether the application is complete: plans, forms, fee and any documents the council's local list requires. Building Regulations ask whether the work will comply once built. Passing the first says nothing about the second.

What Building Control needs from a full plans package
Expect sections through the floor, wall and roof, beam and foundation positions, drainage, the escape route and a specification. Clocks that start once you submit
The authority must notify the outcome of a full plans application within five weeks of receipt, or a longer period agreed in writing (Building Regulations 2010, regulation 14A(6)). A separate rule governs the start: once the notice of intention to start is given, at least two days must pass, counted from the end of that day, before work begins (regulation 16(1)(b)).
